At locations where the live end of the PT cable is located away from the slab edge, a stressing pan needs to be provided. The pan is formed by a triangular plastic wedge which is embedder into the surface of the slab. After the cables are stressed and grouted, the stressing pan is also filled with a material to form a flat finish to the slab.
