floor grinding & scarifying

The reason to grind and scarify concrete floors is generally to achieve the require tolerances and/ or standards.   

Scarifying concrete uses spinning metal blades on a machine to chip away at the top layer of a concrete surface that are significantly higher than the required tolerance.  This is a faster and more aggressive process than grinding.
